Karen began working at Panel Built in June of 2014, and has since proved a great addition to our Materials department. Karen got married right out of high school and has been in the work force ever since. Even with four children at home she was never a stay-at-home mom. Unfortunately, a few years ago the government shut down the company she was working for. In the midst of this trail, Karen saw an opportunity to go back to school and achieve the college education she had always wanted but never got. Karen did just that, and decided to major in something that would always be relevant – elementary education.
Karen began her education but soon after found her family moving to North Georgia. When they left Alabama, Karen was already in her last year of working towards her bachelor’s degree. Undeterred by the relocation, she wanted to finish. On May 9, 2015 she graduated from Liberty University online with a BS in Elementary Education.
Completing a bachelor’s degree has helped Karen in many ways. Most of all, she says it has been huge personal accomplishment. “I felt like I could not tell my kids how important education is, without getting an education myself”, said Karen.
Panel Built would like to congratulate Karen on this great accomplishment and thank her for her for her service to our company! Way to go, Karen!
