326 sq. ft. Exterior Guard Booth | Ennis, TX

modular guard booth

Challenge

Lowe’s Companies needed a secure, climate-controlled guard booth for their distribution facility in Ennis, Texas. The structure had to support efficient access control and hold up to the demands of an active industrial site. Clear visibility, durable materials, and a layout that supported day-to-day tasks were essential. James R. Vannoy & Sons Construction partnered with Panel Built to help Lowe’s add a dependable workspace at the entrance without slowing operations.

Solution

Panel Built designed and manufactured a 326 square foot exterior guard booth built with 3-inch insulated wall panels that use a polyiso core for strong thermal performance. The structure stands just under ten feet tall and features Dove Gray exterior steel panels, gypsum interior walls, and slate gray small-coin flooring for long-lasting use. Large horizontal sliding windows with insulated, tempered glass provide clear sightlines, while a half-glass personnel door and an interior flush door help organize the space inside.

To support daily operations, the booth includes a full electrical layout, occupancy sensors, baseboard heating, an instant water heater, and a wall-mount air handler paired with a mini-split condenser for year-round comfort. A 24-inch laminate countertop provides a functional work surface. Crane lugs and forklift pockets were added to streamline delivery and placement on-site.
