Military Training Tower | Georgia Military College
Challenge
Georgia Military College needed to replace an aging tower that no longer met the standards required for military training exercises. The new structure had to be tough enough to withstand years of training exercises and daily use. Signature Research, a company specializing in aerial adventure and training structures, partnered with Panel Built to develop a steel tower capable of supporting rappelling and rope work.
Solution
Panel Built worked closely with Signature Research to design and fabricate a custom steel training tower tailored to Georgia Military College's requirements. The 2,353 square foot structure includes training platforms at 10, 20, and 35 feet, with the roof reaching approximately 45 feet. The design incorporates beginner training areas, advanced rappelling elevations, and improved access through an internal stair system. Throughout the project, Panel Built collaborated with Signature Research to address design refinements and installation challenges, ensuring the finished structure exceeded the customer's performance and training objectives.
Key Features
- Multi-Level Training Tower: 2,353 sq. ft. structure with training elevations at 10, 20, and 35 feet.
