Custom Welding Enclosure

Panel Built recently completed a custom interior welding enclosure for a leading energy and automation manufacturer to create a safer, more controlled welding environment within an active production floor. The enclosure measures approximately 26 feet wide by 13 feet deep with a 9-foot overall height, providing about 650 square feet of dedicated welding space inside the facility. The structure was built using 3-inch-thick, 3-ply steel wall panels with 24-gauge smooth steel skins and an insulated core to help with durability and noise control.

To match the customer’s facility aesthetic, the walls were powder-coated blue, with the aluminum extrusions and trim painted to match for a clean, cohesive finish. The enclosure also features sliding half-glass doors with tempered glass, providing visibility into the workspace while containing sparks and debris. Designed specifically for interior use, this welding enclosure created a defined, safer work zone without disrupting surrounding operations, proving that functional safety solutions can still look sharp on the production floor.

If your facility is looking to improve safety, create defined work zones, or add a custom enclosure to your production floor, Panel Built can design a solution that fits your space and workflow.
