9' x 9' Prize Vault

April’s Project of the Month is a unique application: a custom prize vault delivered through Scottie Lee and Indoff Incorporated. The customer wanted to boost employee morale by creating a prize game as part of a new reward system. Whenever an employee achieved an exceptional accomplishment, they would get the opportunity to "Spin to Win" a prize.

However, the customer needed an impressive and secure way to display and store the many prizes available. Panel Built provided the solution with a 9’ x 9’ welded steel framed prize vault. Each side of the vault featured three stacked glass windows, giving the structure a total height of seven feet and offering a clear view of the prizes from every angle.

Nine glass shelves, each 12 inches deep, were installed to neatly organize the prizes and maintain a clean, consistent look. Electrical duplex outlets were added inside the vault to power LED light strips, which brightly illuminated the prizes on display.

One of the challenges of the project was securely mounting a steel door onto the ¼-inch tempered glass walls. Panel Built’s engineering team designed a steel tube frame to support the door, incorporating a five-inch anchor tab to ensure the structure remained firmly in place.

To complete the design, the vault was equipped with a turnstile-style handle that matched the playful, game like theme. For added security, a keypad entry system was also installed.

This custom prize vault not only met the customer’s need for a secure and eye-catching display but also helped create a fun, motivating experience for employees. Panel Built’s creative design and engineering expertise brought the customer’s vision to life, delivering a solution that was both functional and memorable.
