Climate-Controlled Office

When Intralot needed a more comfortable workspace within its Duluth, Georgia facility, Nelson Business Products worked with Panel Built to provide a modular in-plant office that could be installed directly on the existing plant floor.

The previous workspace was open to the surrounding facility, leaving the area exposed to significant temperature changes throughout the year. The new enclosed office creates a more controlled environment while keeping the workspace positioned close to day-to-day plant operations.

Panel Built designed the approximately 192-square-foot office at 12 feet by 16 feet using 3-inch modular wall panels. The structure features 10-foot wall panels, a 9-foot-6-inch finished ceiling height, and a 22-gauge steel B-deck roof system.

Large picture windows with 1/4-inch tempered glass were incorporated throughout the office to maintain visibility into the surrounding plant. The design also includes a half-glass entry door, electrical components, an eight-space 125-amp main lug load center, and wall reinforcement for a mini-split HVAC system.

By enclosing the workspace, Intralot gained a dedicated area that can be kept more comfortable year-round without requiring an expansion or major changes to the existing facility.
